- The Oneway® Bowl Steady is designed to eliminate vibration by supporting the work area when cutting. This eliminates the tendency for dig-ins and results in cleaner cuts and improved safety. The Bowl Steady can be used for all types of turning where vibration occurs. Infinite vertical and horizontal adjustment, along with tensioning arms, allow you to create the perfect amount of pressure against the work. The Bowl Steady requires some assembly prior to use. 15 lbs.
To determine clamp block size: measure the distance between the rails on your lathe bed.

Works as it should, helps with vibration

Comments On Jan 11, 2021:Makes turning the edge of the bowl a bit less challenging. Well built and very useful. Will mark up the surface a bit, so don't pre finish before doing the inside of your bowl.

Bowl steady of a great value

Comments On Jul 21, 2015:I purchased the Oneway Bowl Steady recently and am very pleased with it. I had made my own steady which worked well, but was noisy and took a good deal of time to install and take off. The oneway steady is an easy and efficient way to insure that turning the inside of a bowl or vessel is a snap. It is quick and easy to install and remove allowing more turning time and less setup time.

Confidence in a Box!

Comments On Dec 17, 2012:I am fairly new to turning, but enjoy segmented vessels and hollowing. Too many times, turning at the top has caused vibration and resulted in a broken vessel rolling across my shop. No more! I just got this tonight and tried it out. What a difference! The turning is rock solid.
Of course this is made with typical Oneway quality; it is a hefty device. My only complaint is that all the adjustments are operated with nuts (i.e., tools are required.). This isn't the biggest problem, but I've replaced two of the three nuts with knobs from a jig-building kit. The third one (which operates the clamping block) will require a different solution simply due to its size.
