Nice mid-sized gouge to add to your inventory

Comments On Oct 21, 2015:I spent the money on the full Glenn Lucas gouges after I watched Glenn himself demo some of his tools. I find that his sharpening recommendations work very well for my style, and I needed some variable sized bowl gouges to add to my inventory. I'm very impressed with the 5/8" gouge. It takes some heavy cuts but also gives the turner the capability of a lighter more delicate cut. It's very pleasant to hold and control, and I like the grind that Glenn uses on a day in day out basis.

Hamlet GL4 bowl gouge

Comments On Sep 30, 2014:I bought 2 of these bowl gouges to use in my classroom. My high school students like to use them for bowl turning but my adult school woodworking students really like these gouges for their bowl turning. It is the first tool they use to rough out a bowl and to use for a finish cut. I'm really glad I bought them.
