Turners Edge gouges are uniquely different from other turning tools. Manufactured from heat-treated M2 High-Speed steel, Turners Edge gouges are casehardened "Nitrided" using carbon and nitrogen to significantly increased wear resistance, improve chip ejection, and provide exceptional performance. Made in USA.
  • Nitrided M2 for long-lasting edge
  • Hardened to 75+ Rockwell C
  • Hardened surface won’t chip, flake or peel
  • Longer lasting than standard M2 tools
  • Smooth chip ejection prevents debris buildup
  • Milled flat on tang to accommodate modular handles
  • Ground sharp and ready for use
  • Can be sharpened on standard grinding wheels
  • Can be sharpened with CBN wheels

Bowl Gouges

The diameter shown indicates the actual outside diameter of the blade. All blades have a milled flat to accommodate modular tool handles. Tool sharpened with double bevel grind.

Great tool at a great price

Comments On Mar 14, 2022:This bowl gouge has been my goto tool when turning bowls, pens, and boxes. I can make big cuts roughing out a shape or shear scrape on the wings for a smooth finishing cut. The steel holds an edge incredibly well and is easy to profile on an 80 grit CBN and touch up on a 180 grit CBN. Overall, for the price I doubt I could find a better tool and am hoping I can add the other two sizes I don't currently own to my turning tools.
