Totally happy with this machine

Comments On Jan 29, 2020:I turn 2-4 hours a day, which means this machine has been called upon thousands of times in a year. It has held up just fine, comes to speed quickly, and runs with a quiet hum. I get periodic desires to upgrade tools to better steel, chucks with more jaws, and so many temptations...but I have never wanted a grinder beyond this Rikon.

Just what my shop needed!

Comments On Apr 24, 2016:I used to use a Tormek but wasted far too much time sharpening my tools. I picked up this grinder along with the Wolverine & a few jigs and I couldn't be happier. The lower speed saves grinding down your tools and helps prevent bluing the edge. It runs very quiet for a grinder as well as nice and smooth. Combine this with a Wolverine and you have what is in my opinion the best sharpening system out there.
