My First

Comments On Apr 14, 2017:This was my first experience with an acrylic pen blank, and I am converted. I was scared of the blank at first but as I began to work with it, we came to an understanding. It turned very easily, I have to admit that I could sharpen many tools. So it could have been easier. Sanded it to 600 grit, then ran thru the micro mesh pads. Shined to a beautiful finish..

Comments On Aug 07, 2016:I've used a handful of these and all turned out very nice. The antique gold & crimson are my faves. The antique gold has a nice cat's eye effect that looks really cool! Turn just like any other acrylic blank that isn't overly brittle. Use sharp tools and you'll get amazing results. I'll definitely buy more of these.

Easy to turn, smooth finish

Comments On Jul 08, 2015:My wife chose the Pink/Green acrylic for her personal pen, though i was unimpressed by the color. It turned easily with no chipping or chatter and took a sanding/polishing beautifully. The finished acrylic is much more vibrant than I first thought and it garners attention anywhere she uses it.

newbie thoughts

Comments On Feb 26, 2015:I tried this with painting both blue tubes and white tubes. The white tubes finished with a brilliant shine and depth, while the blue tubes showed a much deeper blue. It has pearlescent and iridescent undertones.
I finished by sanding to 600, Abranet to 600, then the 6 colored pads for acrylic, then 20/20 polish. Beautiful.
