An excellent barrel trimmer. Came SHARP!

Comments On Sep 08, 2018:Yes this one is more expensive than others out there. Yes you can buy entire sets of cheapies for the cost of this and its pilots. BUT, this trimmer came sharper than any other I've tried and has worked excellently out of the package. They also offer sizes of pilots I've not seen from other companies. I'll never cheap out on barrel trimmers again.

Comments On Apr 01, 2014:This pen mill works great on all types of wood, But when I've trimmed acrylics it wants to gouge out or chip out. It maybe just the nature of working with acrylics. Sanding them is a breeze but I bought this to get away from the belt sander. I would have liked to see whiteside have a package deal with all the most common sizes at a cheaper price as they do at some other vendors. If they have it here I DID not see it. I still recommend this product.

A Pen Makers Necessity

Comments On Jul 17, 2013:First was the Apprentice trimmer set. It was good, but not perfect, as it was only for smaller kits. Then came the Artisan ala carte trimmers. Much better as it was for all of the kits until some of the kits changed - never had 10.5 and 12.5 mm shafts. Now this set, not compatible w/ the Artisan trimmer head. Shafts are heftier, and 10.5 and 12.5 mm shafts are available! Since so many kits are 10.5 and 12.5 mm tubes, this new trimmer is well worth the money.
