Comments On Nov 12, 2019:I resisted using CA pen finish as I had visions of a messy process that would end up with my fingers glued to a pen. What a misconception!
This kit provides all the materials, and the video on Craft Supplies website the excellent instruction, to produce a remarkable finish the first time and every time.
My favorite pen blank is holly. The soft creaminess of the wood makes an elegant pen. It's also a wood that has an extremely subtle grain thatâ??s lost using most finishes. Not so with CA. the clarity of the finish allows the subtle grain highlights to show through, giving the pen the appearance of wood where other finishes would lose the detail and make it look like plastic.
Great finish and great kit. It also introduced me to sanding with Abranet and microfine sanding sheets. A home run all the way around.

Great starter set

Comments On Oct 19, 2014:This set has what you need to achieve a great finish. I find that if you take you time with the sanding, that the plastic polish isn't needed.
