Comments On Nov 20, 2015:With this grinding wheel, you will be so glad you purchased it, you won;t know how you did without one previously. The other grinding wheels...aside from the Diamond wheels, are generally a little to ruff, and wear your tool out so much sooner when you are just trying to touch-up on your tool. With this Norton ceramic wheel, you will find that you don't remove that much material, and that you get a more refined/sharpened tool that with a conventional grinding stone.
I love the one I got, and will be switching my coarser grit stone as soon as possible.
***As a side note, I do recommend getting the bushings and washers that is sold on this site, as it does make a big difference on the amount of vibration, and it cuts down on the transferred amount of heat from the stone to the grinder, due to the bushing being made out of aluminum. They hold great, are light, and help balance out the stone better than the factory set that comes with the grinder. Just something to think about. When I bought the bushings for the single grinding wheel I got so far...the bushings were under twenty dollars and worth every penny of it. My grinder now runs quietly and doesn't heat up like it used to.***

Comments On Oct 06, 2015:With this wheel I can quickly get a keen edge. When needed, I can quickly dress it. When new it did not require much fussing to get it properly balanced. In my experience, it does not wear faster than expected, and I've been using it for several years. I do overheat the steel easily, but I'm pretty sure that's me being impatient and not the stone. I would buy again--in fact, I'm thinking of getting one for my newer 8" grinder.
