The Best"

Comments On Mar 18, 2016:While I dream of the day I can buy a Robust lathe I really enjoy their tool rest now. I use this on my Jet 1642, perfect fit. It is by far the best rest I've ever used. I have them In several Different sizes for both the Jet 1642 and the Jet 1221 Midi lathe.

Great Toolrest!

Comments On Jan 16, 2015:I use this 6" toolrest on a Jet 1642EVS lathe. The original equipment came with a cast iron 14" tool rest. I needed a smaller one for smaller work. I purchased the rest with the 1" diam x 3 3/4" tall post and it is the perfect height for this lathe. The scooped area works well for my large hands in an underhand grip. The hardened steel edge does not get chewed up with the HSS and Cryo steel tools. A 9 incher is on the wish list.
