An awesome pen when finished

Comments On Nov 30, 2019:I made this pen and sold it right away based on it's looks, despite being a non -postable pen.
I had another request for one and I explained the non-postable issue, but it didn't seem to matter to him and ordered it anyway.
Another customer was wanting one too, until I mentioned this and she chose another style instead.
So some like it the way it is and some don't. I just ensure that I explain that to them beforehand.

Great Pen

Comments On Nov 03, 2015:I really like the way this pen turned out. Very easy to assemble, and looks great. It also has good heft and balance without being too big or heavy. Also very easy to assemble. I did get a little eager to put it together and forgot one step I was intending. Because of the threaded cap, you need to plan carefully to make sure the grain pattern will line up when the cap is on. I had this all planned and knew how to manage it, but then forgot at the last moment. Good thing I made it for myself instead of someone else. I do wish it came in other finishes and not just the gold.

Great if you want to hold the cap while you write

Comments On Feb 01, 2014:Good quality, nice components, fit as it should. Pretty happy until I assembled and realized that the cap portion does not click to or connect to the pen while you write. I would have not bought if I'd had known that.

My Favorite Pen Kit

Comments On Dec 30, 2013:This is a gem of a pen kit - if you haven't had the privilege of turning and assembling one yet - buy it! Use an exotic wood for your project - I just can't see ruining the beauty of the experience of using the finished pen with an acrylic (but I'm a purist, too!). When assembled, the pen has a fantastic weight in the hand, a balance that is quite pleasing, and it feels just like what the name says when it is in your hand - it is truly Executive Quality. You can command a great price for this one, because when people pick it up, they really don't want to put it down and walk away without it, and it looks and feels worth the money you can ask for it. Make one, take it with you to the Office supply store and compare it to the pens they are charging big bucks for - you'll see how one made from exotic wood will outshine those mass produced knock-offs any day of the week! Enjoy this one!
