Author of two books and 8 woodturning DVDs, Rex is best known for his large wall hangings and platters.
The focus of this workshop is to help students gain a sound understanding of woodturning fundamentals including design elements. In addition, proper tool selection and tooling techniques, sharpening, and chucking will be emphasized throughout the class. Projects to be turned during the class are geared toward retail sales at craft shows and similar venues.
During the workshop, Rex will share tips and tricks he’s developed over 30 years to help you improve your speed and efficiency through proper technique and general methodology in the workshop. The true measure of success in this class won’t be measured by the number of finished projects but rather by every student gaining a sound understanding of woodturning fundamentals and self-confidence to pursue all types of woodturning projects.
