Lathe is excellent, turns like a dream, bango allows you close to work, very easy to adjust. Requires small footprint in my shop, yet
a real workhorse.
Easy set up, plug it in and turn!!

Used one at Arrowmont, excellent!

Comments On Nov 06, 2019:I took a master class with David Ellsworth at Arrowmont several months ago and had the opportunity to use a Vicmarc VL-300, it was really a pleasure! They have Robust there too, so it was good to compare them. I like the controls - the push buttons and knobs on the pendant are better on the VM than the Robust. There were a few things I liked on the Robust more, but I don't remember as it has been awhile. I have a Nova DVR2024 at home which I love, but both of these machines are in a different class! But over twice the price also! If you are in the market for the best, both are worth looking at for sure.
