Comments On Aug 04, 2017:I make a lot of kitchen utensils (ice cream scoops, rasp, vegetable peelers, pie knifes etc.) and this wood is fantastic. When turned it comes out beautiful, the wood is extremely dense (like cocobolo) and finishes up great. The one think to remember is if you are drilling a hole to screw in a utensil, like rasp, make sure you tap the hole out deep enough to accept the complete length of the hardware, as the wood is hard and without the tap, once the hardware is in, it's in. I have a couple of kitchen shops I have my products in and do seasonal shows as well, and items made with this wood are one of the first to sell out. I will be making a lot of handles for the holiday season coming up out of Honduras Rosewood. Highly recommend.
