- These Beall® 2" Bowl Buffs are specially designed to conform to the concave surfaces of bowls or goblets to provide a consistent, even finish to your projects. Bowl Buffs have fewer plies, making them softer and better able to conform to the contours of wood. Either mount the Bowl Buff directly to a buffing motor shaft using the available motor adapter or mount it directly to your lathe using the motor adapter in combination with a Morse Taper adapter. Bowl Buffs are available in three different consistencies for use with different finishes, and each is color coded for easy identification. Use the all linen buff (marked with a red dot) with the Tripoli compound, the linen/cotton mix (blue dot) with White Diamond polish, and the all cotton flannel buff (yellow dot) to apply carnauba wax. Bowl Buffs are designed for high-speed use (above 1725 rpm). Complete, easy to follow instructions are included with each Bowl Buff.

Good product overall

Comments On Feb 29, 2016:I have the 8" wheels, the 4" bowl buffs and needed these for smaller turnings. They do as good a job as all the others. I do like the Beall system overall and continue to use them quite a bit, especially with friction finishes on the lathe.
It also does a good job on poly and I find that, although not as forgiving on shellac, if you drop the speed to about 1200 or so, it does shellac without burning through the finish.
