Vicmarc Gauge Master
Details
- Made of sturdy cast aluminum, the Vicmarc® Gauge Master is useful for center marking and also has reference notches ranging from 15 to 70 degrees that help you check your various turning tools for the correct grind angle. A reference table showing turning tools and their recommended angle of grind is etched on the face of the Gauge Master. The 75º notch is handy for checking the end of scrapers used to cut the dovetail recess required by expanding dovetail jaws.

Great reference/gauge

Comments On Sep 29, 2018:This is a great resource/reference/gauge to have, and it's easier to come by than the more difficult to find Vicmarc Manta Gauge. Makes it easier to determine bevel angles as well.

Awesome Addition to my set

Not some piece-o-junk plastic guage. this thing will defenatly last me a lifetime. I was pointed to this product by a member of my turning club. Definitely good advice from the old fellows on getting this.

Vicmark Gaugemaster works great!

Comments On Oct 29, 2013:I needed a good method to check the angles on my woorturning tools. I bought the Vicmark gaugemaster because it looked like a very well made tool and should last me for a long time. It is made out of cast aluminum and looked very heavy duty. In order to do my best in my woodturning it is important to have the tool angles consistent and with the correct angle for the tool. The gaugemaster has the type of tools listed by the suggested angle and is very helpful. I use it all the time after I sharpen my tools on my Wolverine sharpening system to double-check to make sure I have my tool angles correct. I would recommend this tool to anyone who wants consistency in their woodturning tools sharpening.
