Works great, runs true after a few minutes.

Comments On Jan 05, 2016:I am happy with it. It runs real quite even when it slows down to stop. It used to rumble on shut-down. Trued it up after installing it.

Get rid of your plastic bushings!

Comments On Apr 08, 2015:Like others have said, the Raptor bushing is well worth the price and I should have bought it sooner. The bushings are a snug fit (which you want), but I had no problems sliding the bushing onto the shaft of my Woodcraft grinder, or sliding my Norton 3X wheel onto the bushing. It's amazing how much slop there is with the stock Norton "one size fits all" plastic bushings. The Raptor bushing virtually eliminated all side-to-side wobble. Once the wheel was running true, I did have to use my Wolverine Diamond Dressing Jig to true up the wheel. Hint: make sure you order two Raptor bushing sets (one for each side).

These really work!

Comments On Apr 07, 2015:These might be a little expensive, but if that vibrating in your grinder bugs, these are the answer. If you add them to an old wheel, you may still have to true it up. Well worth the cost.

A huge improvement in my matrix wheels

Comments On Apr 01, 2015:These items were bought about 2 weeks ago and have been placed on my Norton white wheels. They went from significant run out and balance to very little. I still had to balance them a bit but that's likely due to the wheel and not the washers. I probably could have come up with something myself made of wood or metal from a local Fastenal or something, but this saves me time which means more turning and less fabricating. I think they were very much worth it.

Good Fit and Good Concentricity

Comments On Mar 05, 2015:I refurbished an old craftsman grinder with new paint, bearings, and tool rests. The stamped metal wheel washers had to go so I ordered these bushings, and am totally satisfied. They fit very well and run true.
I thought this might be a set of 2 bushings, to hold 2 wheels on a grinder. It is a single bushing and washer. The package includes one flanged bushing and one washer.
Get these if you are having trouble getting wheels to run true.

The Cure for grinding wheel wobble

Comments On Feb 19, 2015:I bought a JET JBG8A 8" bench grinder and it had tons of wheel wobble right out of the box. Replaced the grinding wheels, tried some of the plastic bushings for adapting grinding wheels (mine has 5/8" shafts), no dice. Figured I had nothing to lose and bought a pair of these to replace the cheap stamped cup washers that came with the grinder. Sure enough, nearly all of the wheel wobble and vibration at high speed is gone. The rest should easily turn out with a grinding wheel dresser. These fit so tight on the shaft of my grinder I had to use some scotch brite to clean all the dust and burrs off. For the price and performance, these make a pretty good kit. I'm using two different Norton Aluminum Oxide wheels with 1" bores. It seems these will fit nearly any 1" bore grinding wheel.
