We recommend any first time students, or little-to-no experience turners, take any of the 101 classes. These courses will introduce you to the lathe and tools, building the right turning habits, tool sharpening, learning to use the correct tools with the corresponding project, and much more.

The 201 classes are ideal for those who want to further advance tool techniques while working on more challenging projects. Proper tool use, tool techniques and sharpening are constantly emphasized during the class. Due to the more advanced level of the projects and techniques to be covered in this class, we recommend that interested students be proficient in basic tool use and tool techniques. We highly recommend that students attend a woodturning 101 class prior to participating in a 201 class.

A Signature class is a unique opportunity to learn techniques and methods used by the instructor to produce their signature work. Signature classes are not recommended for beginner/limited experience woodturners. Projects and techniques require that students be proficient in basic woodturning skills including proper tool technique and sharpening.

No, we will be providing all of the supplies and materials needed for each class. However, you are more than welcome to bring your own tools, supplies, smocks, face shield, etc.
