Comments On Jul 01, 2021:I have made well over 200 Sienna pens and each one has sold for top dollar! It's well balanced, hefty and the twist mechanism is beyond smooth. This is my go-to kit when it comes to single tube pen kits, especially the Black Titanium. A++++

Careful - THIN Tolerance!

Comments On Dec 30, 2013:Overall this is a beautiful pen when completed, especially when using an exotic wood. The black really balances the deep wood colors, and I think it looks better with the darker woods. Unless you are using an acrylic blank, use caution when turning - the hole required and the tube size are quite large on this kit, and the tolerances for thickness of the turned medium are pretty thin! I've had one pen returned due to a crack up the length of it along the grain of the wood. I'm considering experimenting in this case with some cross-grain turning, or, turning down to a relatively close tolerance and soaking the turning through in cyano glue, letting it dry well and starting in on the finish turning to strengthen the blank.
So, just keep that in mind when using this kit - there's not much to work with when you get down to those bushings, so be careful!!

The quality, fit and look of the pen coupled with the inlay kit was beyond believing. Seamless lines, with little or no fitting, the finishing process was a joy to complete.
