EWT’s Big Easy Jaws are just the ticket for re-chucking bowls for final shaping and finishing. Some of the advantages of being able to re-chuck a bowl include: light turning for shaping, removing damaged wood left by the chuck and customizing the base for just the right look.

Big Easy Jaws are supplied with tapered non-marking urethane grippers that hold the work securely in place. Not only are these jaws capable of gripping the interior of reverse curve bowls as well as the exterior of open form bowls, the full range of gripper mounting holes let you position them as needed to fit almost any size bowl.

As with all Easy Chuck accessories, Big Easy Jaws utilize Snap-Lock technology for fast jaw changing. Choose from a 12" model for smaller lathes or 16" model for larger lathes. With the optional 20" Big Easy Extensions, you can grip bowls up to 20" in diameter. And, if you’re in need of additional gripping surface or longer reach, the optional 2" Easy Reach Grippers will help you get the job done.
