Nice grain

Comments On Mar 24, 2022:The only reason I give these a 4 star rating is because most of the ones I received were caked with the stabilizing material. One of the blanks was pretty out of square on the sides as well as the ends. Having the stabilizing material caked on made it difficult to square everything up to be able to drill a hole centered. The wood grain for all of these is very nice. They made impressive looking bottle stoppers. There were no defects in the blanks. They all turned very well. Sanding was easy and they hold a finish really well. I would recommend these blanks but, I would just mention the stabilizing material can be a nuisance to start with but, once that initial coating is leveled out there were no issues.

Comments On Nov 08, 2014:I had purchased the box elder burl. It looked rather blaa just as a blank. When I turned this stopper, it transformed into a thing a beauty. I will be buying more of these.
