(Tectona grandis) Teak is easy to turn but can be fairly abrasive due to silica in the wood, and because of the silica you may need to sharpen more often. Teak takes good detail and finishes well while the rich brown heartwood with occasional chocolate brown streaks add beauty to these turning squares.
