Unseasoned (wet) wood is the ideal material for practicing tool techniques as it cuts easily with a sharp tool and proper cut. Creating long ribbons of wood as you make the perfect cut is incredibly satisfying. Practicing on material for practice! We recommend turning the bowl to 1" wall thickness throughout and sealing it with Tree Saver to allow it to dry prior to final turning.
