Maple Burl Stabilized Pen Blank

The process of stabilizing has been used for years to improve the workability and durability of wood blanks such as knife handles, pens, and other materials. Resistant to water, oils, and most solvents, stabilized blanks turn very easily and can be finished to a glass-like finish without too much effort.
