These blanks were harvested during winter, so the bark will remain in place with reasonable care when turning. Shagbark Hickory is known for its rich brown color with occasional dark stripes. Thickness varies from 3" to 5" and may include occasional bark inclusions that can be glued in place as needed. Blanks are hot wax sealed and sold unseasoned.
