There are few woodturning projects that can vary so much in size and shape, serve so many purposes, and be so intriguing as a well-turned wooden box.

In this 5-day box making workshop, students will begin by learning the fundamentals of the box making process including proper wood selection. Throughout the week, projects will become more advanced and challenging too. Exploring advanced box design, wood threading, and finishing/decorative techniques are just a few of the things that will be explored throughout the week.

The emphasis of this class will be on developing the skills and tool techniques used to create beautiful boxes that incorporate proper design elements. The goal for each student is to develop an understanding of the basic elements of a good box and how to achieve desired results so that afterwards, they can continue to expand their horizons.
