Comments On May 18, 2020:I love this product. Have far fewer cracked bowls vs. the previous product. I'd give it 5 stars if the 5 gallon bucket came with a pour spout.

Comments On Mar 15, 2020:I like this product better then "the other" brand. With the other brand if you splash a little, the waxy substance can be dangerous if you slip on it. This product works great as a sealer and does not make your floors slick.

Blank Saver

Comments On Jan 27, 2020:I seem to cut a lot of green wood and do a lot of coring as soon as possible after that. That's a lot of effort to sacrifice if a blank cracks. With some of our local woods like madrone, locust, and live oak, that's a vulnerability. Tree Saver, applied right after coring, followed by storage of the blanks in the proverbial cool, dark place, has given me a superb "keeper" rate. Unlike wax coats which can crack when wood shrinks naturally, this substance moves with the wood...within limits. It's non toxic, cleans up with water, and doesn't smell. If you are not using a lot of it, smarter to buy quarts, as the material does get thicker with a long time in a partially filled gallon jug.
