Making an Artisan® Premium Pizza Cutter is simple. Drill and tap the end of the handle blank, turn and finish the handle between centers, thread the finished handle onto the threaded pizza cutter shaft and you’re ready to go. For washing or refinishing, just unscrew the handle and reattach when done.

Good, Heavy, durable

Comments On Sep 12, 2021:I made a few of these pizza cutters, one of which I kept for myself and have used every week for a couple years now. The metal has not corroded nor shown any signs of wear.This cutter head is better than any pizza wheel I've owned. Turning the handle was a simple affair. You could use a brass insert in the wood, (a good idea for softer woods) or you'll need a 3/8-16 tap to cut the threads in the wood. They recommend using the bottle stopper mandrel, but I just ground the head off of a 3/8 bolt and grabbed it in the spigot jaws of my oneway chuck for the first one that i made. It worked, but I have since bought a bottle stopper mandrel and use it now.

Massive pizza cutter, well received

Comments On Mar 17, 2021:I generally turn and sell kitchen utensils, Lazy Susan's etc. Turned a few of the smaller pizza cutters that sat on shelf. Made a couple of these 4 inch pizza cutter and they sold right away. Have ordered more and think they will be a popular item. I do make a slightly bigger handle than the instructions call for. With the looks of the 4" blade and a larger handle, this pizza cutter has a commanding present. I sell them for $34.95 ( I live in a small economically challenged area ) and think I could sell for $45+ in a larger metro area. Kit is worth the money.

Comments On Nov 27, 2020:This is an awesome pizza cutter. My only problem that I had trying to sell it at shows was the weight of it. This rascal comes in at about 1-1/4 pounds when finished, which put a lot of people off. I was selling them at $50. The durability of the product is great and being able to adjust the cutter wheels amount of wobble was also a plus. The only problem I had was the weight.

Comments On May 06, 2019:Love them 4 stars only. Rattles on the cutter. Need the bottle stopper piece to match the end on pizza cutter that piece. Need a 29/32 bushing to put on bottle-stopper. Since the other comes off.

Comments On Apr 03, 2017:This pizza cutter is awesome. It is a bit on the pricy side but you get what you pay for. It's very heavy duty. Also, I was surprised how sharp it is. I make a point of telling everyone to unscrew the handle before washing. Very simple project that looks great. If you're on the fence just get one, you won't regret it!!

Most of the reviews have been excellent, although a few that have been negative where caused by being left in dishwater to soak (not good for wood handles). This is a fun project to make and an excellent use for wood scraps that are 1 x 6 or so inches long.

When I help people get started with turning I usually have them make one of these because of the ease and the high quality product they end up with. Really fun project that I'd recommend to anyone. Great quality cutter! Everyone I've made one for LOVES it and is so impressed how well it cuts and how expensive it looks. Amazing quality for the price.

This product is amazing, it is by far the best pizza cutter I have ever encountered. It was easy to make and the only comment regarding the instructions that I might add is that the handle can be removed in order to wash the cutter after use.
