Instead of peeling away 90% of a bowl blank into useless shavings, you can create several bowls from a single blank. In fact, a 16" x 6" thick bowl blank can yield four or more bowls depending on your experience and skill level. Bowl coring reduces the cost per bowl and the cored bowls take less time to turn and finish. Bowl coring is great for the environment as it maximizes yield and reduces waste.

Unlike other fixed position bowl coring systems that cut predetermined shapes, the McNaughton Center Saver System lets you vary the shape, thickness, and diameter of cored bowls via the newly redesigned articulating tool support post.
