The Apprentice™ Center Punch is a simple device that has long been used for making a small dimple in metal and other hard materials, prior to drilling to prevent the bit from wandering. This handy, inexpensive tool is ideal for woodturning as it can be used to mark screw locations and center points on spindle stock for easy locating of the drive or tailstock center. The knurled surface makes it easy to hold the punch firmly in place while applying sufficient pressure to cause the center point to strike a dimple in the work. Measures 5" long by 5/8" diameter.
- Pressure applied dimple strike
- Knurled surface for firm grip
- Hardened tip for use w/ hard materials
