Precision-machined from M3 stainless steel in England, these Beaufort Ink bushings are chamfered for turning between centers, no pen mandrel required. Turning between centers eliminates any flex you’d normally get from a mandrel shaft, so your blank turns down to a tighter, more consistent fit. Prefer to use a mandrel anyway? These work on standard 7mm pen mandrels too.
Each bushing includes a helpful wear-indicator groove, so you’ll know at a glance when it’s time to replace them.
To use, mount the blank between the bushings (following the kit instructions) either between centers or onto a 7mm pen mandrel. Turn the blanks down to match the bushing diameter, leaving a little extra material for final sanding and finishing.
